Products designed for specific agricultural applications: UFI Filters Hydraulics presents at EIMA the suction filter with anti-drain valve, the green version of the mobile filtration unit and the electric differential indicator with double setting
More and more often, in addition to the right level of cleanliness of the fluid, the components of the hydraulic system are required to guarantee optimal working conditions even after the ordinary operating stop of the machinery.
Specifically, one of the most requested requirements for the filters installed on the suction line is the prevention of any cavitation phenomena due to the emptying of the circuit after the vehicle is stopped.
The suction filter with anti-drain valve
To meet this increasingly widespread need, UFI Filters Hydraulics has developed an immersed filter with anti-drain valve included, on specific request of an important tractor manufacturer.
The anti-drain valve prevents the filter from emptying when the engine is switched off and thus ensures that the necessary pressure is immediately available when restarting.
The anti-drain valve ensures the correct lubrication of the system when restarting the engine, preventing serious engine wear.
Moreover, it guarantees the seal of the system during the machine stop and, at the same time, ensures a reduced pressure drop when the system restarts (never more than 0.2 bar).
The UFI Filters Hydraulics suction filter with anti-drain valve can be used not only in agricultural applications, but with any type of machinery, both mobile and stationary, which requires frequent operational downtime.
The mobile filtration unit UOW green version
On the occasion of EIMA, UFI Filters Hydraulics will present a preview of the 2023 catalog, which will present the green version of the UOW mobile off-line filtration unit, an external filtration trolley, sometimes referred to as kidney loop.
The mobile filtration unit is mainly used for cleaning the fluid off line, but is often used for the transfer, filling and topping up of the oil tank, even in the agricultural sector.
The new version of the UOW series of UFI Filters Hydraulics was designed with particular attention to the corporate values of sustainability, promoted by the vision of the UFI Filters Group and illustrated in the company’s first Sustainability Report.
The filter element is designed to meet the most demanding requirements of respect for the environment and reduction of polluting components of the hydraulic system and presents the following characteristics:
- coreless structure, which requires the replacement of the filter media only, eliminating the internal metal support, thus reducing materials waste
- lightweight layout, as the weight of the element is significantly reduced compared to the standard version with internal support
- easy maintenance and replacement with reduced leakage of environmentally polluting fluid
The filter element, having a wide filtration area and excellent efficiency features, is normally available with FormulaUFI.MICRON, from 5 to 21 μm(c) (ßx > 1.000) and FormulaUFI.H2O.
The differential clogging indicator with double setting
UFI will present at EIMA also the differential clogging indicator with double setting and built-in connector, patent granted in Italy, Europe and USA, currently available in two different versions.
The main feature of this differential sensor is the possibility of being calibrated. This means that the indicator can be customised according to specific customer or application needs and requirements.
The sensor can be tailored even after the connector has been fitted in, i.e. at the final stage of the process or directly at site by the Customer.
Based on its experience in filtration and in order to meet the most frequent requests from customers, UFI Hydraulics included in the catalogue two versions with double calibration set.
Version 1 with lower double setting, 1.5 bar (75%) and 2 bar (100%), and Version 2 with higher values, 3.75 bar (75%) and 5 bar (100%).
The differential clogging indicator with double setting can be mounted on all filters of UFI range with predisposition for differential clogging indicator, mainly pressure and return, up to a maximum operating pressure of 450 bar, with IP67 protection degree (totally protected against dust and temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter of depth) and a differential setting range from 2 to 10 bar.
Therefore, this product is ideal for use in “harsh” environments exposed to humidity, dust and mud, especially in the farming and earthmoving machinery industry, but it can be used in any other application that requires multiple and customizable calibration.
Moreover, the innovative connection system is conceived to allow quick, accurate and efficient installation of the connector onto the sensor. Specifically, the indicators included in the catalogue are available with M20x1.5 connection, as this kind of thread is one of the most widespread and used for main hydraulic applications, but this model can be supplied also with the following connection, on request: Deutsch DT04-2P; AMP Superseal; M12x1; AMP Junior Timer and DIN 72585 connector, with level of protection IP67 to IP69K.
Furthermore, the new clogging indicator is available also with ATEX and UL certification on request.
